Colabo DVD Named Soon!

Volume 4 (name to be announced) is a remarkable adventure into groundbreaking downhill skateboarding competitions that has, since their inception, defined new styles of extreme skateboarding. This film takes the viewers to top races and some of the worlds highest peaks with breakthrough footage from some of the hardest working and most recognized downhill skaters out there. Matched with acclaimed Cinematograhers and skaters that know the ropes, the passion is obvious by the 13 months that was dedicated to shooting.  Our hope is the tech and smooth high speed skating will inspire skaters to try new types of skateboarding by seeing it done first hand by some of our industries best athletes.  Aside from the Colabo riders in the film, our journey took us well beyond our original goal to simply make a solid team video.  Riders like Scoot Smith, Mischo Erban, Jim Z, JM Duran, Kyle Martin, Hugh Johnson, Tom Edstrand and other top contenders made the film simply by dominating on the race course with style and fierce sportsmanship. Races across North America and Europe have grown from only a handful of riders, to organizers having to put a cap on entry just to get it done before the weekend ends. SHOT IN HD,  Volume 4 (name to be announced) is like no other film out there and is the first production of it’s kind to take you into the lives of skaters that look at street hills as their stomping grounds.  Rather than see intense “un skate able” roads as threats, longboarders have taken the initiative to show the world that hitting hills is an experience that is worth giving it a go. Addiction is inevitable.   Whether it be cruising with your bros near the beach, pre drifting for switchbacks or blasting down hills at 100km/hour (62m/hr), the Colabo Video is guaranteed to have you look at this rapidly growing sport in a unique and satisfying way.

Kevin Rocking Standup
Krimes rocks standup in Pajarito. Kevin contacted us here at Colabo to give us an update on his Brazil travels. He wakes up every morning and skates a hill near where he is staying about 20 times a day.  Sounds like somebody is living the life. Reimer has told has that he plans on heading to Chile next.  We're not sure why but it most likely has something to do with some super narly hills that have never been skated.

Colabo Video Battles Top Peaks in Summer PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 17 November 2008 22:07

Colabo Video Battles Top PeaksHere Dan Pape and Benny Boyd scope out the 15 foot snow banks ~ sometimes on both sides of the road.  When you are this high up at the end of Summer, there's no guarantee conditions will be ride able. This day was an amazing day with great riders, great filmers and Max Erwin snapping photos.  Andrew Chapman grabbed the still camera and shot a few frames himself.    Because Pape and Max both forgot to bringing their helmets, Mc Goldrick, Blake and Boyd mixed it up rocking Aero Lids.  Helmets is a must, especially on Baker.  Riders are highly cautioned to know their skills before trying roads like Baker. Without a doubt this is no Sunday cruise.    Trust amongst the people you ride is essential.

See video footy of this crazy day in the Colabo Video Volume 4.  Name to be announced.

Vernon BC - Mischo's Stomping Ground PDF Print E-mail

Max Erwin Vernon BCMischo Erban has had a profound impact in our scene since we've known him.  In a short time he's had numerous podiums, he trained Max, Zen and Lyle (the famous Vernon groms) - he's hosted 3 very well organized events and he's traveled all around the world. We lost Lyle to pursue other passions (great musician) but Zen and Max Went on to nearly dominating most races they entered.  Here's a screen capture from the Colabo Video of Max railing "the LEFT.......unlimited push.  Whoa.
