Mischo Erban - 2009 IGSA World Champion If you want to talk about dedication to our sport, let's talk about Mischo Erban Mischo Erban is hands down one of the most passionate riders out there. He's dedicated the past 4 years of his life to excelling the sport, the community and the way the world sees Downhill Skateboarding. Mischo was introduced to DH skate like many of us BC riders, through the Danger Bay races. He came onto the scene at Danger Bay 3 in 2002 when Bricin Lyons of Coast Longboarding invited him to attend a race. In the Mischo interview, he talks about where he sees the sport going in the future and how it is catapulting in popularity. He predicts that it will soon be on prime time TV and gives thanks to all the companies out there that are contributing to helping it grow in a positive way. Erban started the Vernon DH races 4 years ago and had never looked back. We wanted to give a shout out to Mischo also because he really knows how to take care of the riders that enter his race. This year the Vernon DH was a two day event and the "goodie bags" he gives out are always a treat. Thanks Mischo for all that you have done and all that we're sure you are going to do in the future. Lastly, congrats on your win as the International Gravity Sports Association (IGSA) World Champion. It's an understatement to say it's been a treat to know you all these years. |

Banff Centre Radical Reels Tour - Fellowship Re-Cut This 12 MINUTE short film showcases never before seen footage Now you don't have to journey to Banff each fall to see these exciting films! Since 2004, the Radical Reels Tour has also been out on the road. The established Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour has been thrilling audiences since 1981. Most World Tour screenings include a range of different themes (adventure sports, environment, mountain culture, heritage, etc.) and styles (action-filled shorts; longer, more comprehensive films; amateur and professional productions; etc.). The Radical Reels Tour presentations incorporate all these elements, but the focus is on dynamic, high-adrenaline films featuring sports such as skiing, climbing, kayaking, BASE jumping, snowboarding and mountain biking. These activities continue to be included on the World Tour, but Radical Reels Tour is for audiences who prefer all action films. Downhill Skateboarding is now recognized thanks to the ongoing efforts of some great people and amazing companies. |
