Quinn Dubois joins Colabo at the age of 9 PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 03 June 2008 00:00

Quinn Dubois is an interesting dude.  At the age of 9 JonHuey Photowe asked him to join our team of riders.  Since the birth of Team Colabo it's always been about the 4 riders, Mike Mc Goldrick the "featured" rider and the film makers.  Having a little youth on the team has helped us remember that we got into this thing for the pure fun of it.  Quinn is sometimes half the size the of the riders he races against but he doesn't let that deter him.  Standing at the start line for someone as young as Quinn must be pretty cool. Most of the competitors that join these Downhill Skateboarding races have 10 years on him.  But do they have more fun?  Check back regularly over the next 10 years as Quinn keeps rippin' with the best of them.  Keep doing what you do little dude, it's an inspiration to see that anyone any age can do this rad sport.  Quinn will also be in the HD Colabo Video!  Youngest Rider to ever enter the IGSA Downhill Speedboarding World Championships 2008, 1st Race was Mischo Erban's Vernon DH 2008

Kevin Reimer

Aka K-Rimes, was the first to join Colabo. Being involved from the start, Kevin has been an important part of Colabo and its growth and aided in the ideas and the methods to grow Colabo to what it is now. Being a part of the downhill skateboarding scene early in Vancouver, and early in his life allowed for fast skill development, and being recognized as a skilled skater early on. Over the past two years Kevin has been ending up on podiums around the world and has begun working in the skateboard industry as a consultant. Kevin has been seeking high speeds throughout his career and holds the unofficial record of 125.3km/h and is planning on making an attempt at the world record. 1st Perygudes France World Cup'08, 1st Madison County Gravity Fest'08,  2st Place Almatrieb Germany World Cup IGSA, 1st Danger Bay 7, 1st Teutonia Brazil, 1st Sullivan's Challenge, 2nd Paskapoo Rodeo, 2nd Top Challenge 2007, 3rd Sullivan's Challenge 3rd Slide Contest DB6

Max Erwin Colabo Rider/Photographer PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 02 July 2008 00:00

Max Erwin Colabo RacerEmerging form Vernon B.C., Max Erwin has had a very quick start to his career. Before joining Team Colabo, he won the largest purse in downhill skateboarding history at Calgary's Paskapoo DH. Once Colabo learned of Max Erwin’s skill level and humble attitude, we knew right away he was the next candidate for the team. In his first race he challenged his fellow riders and dominated the track all the way to finals. In one of the heats that same day, fans dubbed him Max ‘the Dog Dodger’ Erwin due to a slick maneuver around a loose dog near the end of the race. In that same event, with the odds stacked against him, Max took 3rd place out of nearly 80 riders. 1st Paskapoo Rodeo 2006, 2nd Paskapoo Rodeo 2007,  2nd Sullivan's Challenge, 3rd Sullivan's Challenge 2006.

Brianne Davies Colabo Rider PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 20 August 2008 02:55

Brianne Davies Colabo Racer Colabo is proud to introduce Brianne Davies, a rider who is making heads turn with her breakout performances. Brianne joined our squad and put a beautiful finishing touch on the team. With existing team members Max Erwin, Nate Lang (Landyachtz sponsorship) and Kevin Reimer (Rayne sponsorship) we needed a female ripper to showcase that women not only ride but can also compete at high levels in the men's circuit. In every race this past season Brianne has managed to win the women's division and in some cases, get close to the men's podium. Each time she passes her male competitors on the slope, she moves one step closer to erasing old fashioned female stereotypes and what's possible not only for women, but for skaters the world round. This year Colabo rider Brianne Davies made her debut races in the World Cup Circuit and won every race she entered. 1st  IGSA World Championships'08, 1st Perygudes France Race'08, 1st Almatrieb Germany Race'08, 1st Rock and Roll Thalgau Austria '08,  1st Danger Bay 7 - Pender Harbour BC'08, 1st Danger Bay 6 - 2007, 1st Festival of Speed 07.
