Sean Sorg Rides the Giant at the 2009 Event

Every year Rayne Longboards puts on this amazing event.  In one season there are so many great events but often too similar as far as racing format goes.  This ground breaking Canadian Freeriding / Racing event in our opinion should not be missed by the serious longboarder.  Summerland BC's Giants Head Provincial Park has 2 full days of intense but fun riding down one of the best hills in the country.  Saturday is Free Riding all day long with a constant shuttle bringing you right to the top.  Talk about getting a "bang for your buck".  Sunday morning you wake up to a huge all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast followed by an AM Freeride of the Giant.   Racers meeting at 9:30am means this timid Giant instantly becomes ferocious.   This hill is what you make it.  Tuck it or Slash it, you best be on your toes - the Giant will eat you up if you're not on your A-game.  Contact www.RayneLongboards.com for more information on how you can get involved.  The Lost Footy HD from'08 - GoPro HD at this years Giants Head.......extended cut on Videos page.  Congrats to Kevin Reimer from Colabo who took this race 2nd year in a row.
