New Filmmaker Alex Timmer was also kind enough to allow us to include his 8 minute film with an inside look into the lives of Patrick Switzer, Dan Pape, Ivan Nguyen and Max Erwin. This is a heart warming very cool different perspective and we give props to Alex for his efforts. Aside from the Colabo.ca HD Helmet Cam videos, and a rare special edition Race Car Cut by Patrick Weir, we've also included our 12 Minute World Tour cut which was presented during the Banff Centres Radical Reels Tour. WES SAMPSON CO-HOSTED PRIME TIME TV SHOW Last Month Colabo made a special trip up to Vancouver Island to scope out the location of the worlds fastest race course, The Mount Washington Downhill Skateboard Race. Wes Sampson, not your typical race organizer is an experienced professional underwater diver just off the coast of Courtenay BC. When we arrived Sampson was as hospitable as they come. He stocked us up on delicious seafood including oysters, gooey duck and scallops. The location check, sadly resulted in stormy weather conditions, but left us with a respect for one of the fastest race hills in North America, and perhaps even the world. Enjoy this inside look into some of the things that make Wes tick. Watch out for Wes at the Top of your local hill, he's a very fast skateboarder as well as a dedicated Race Organizer. |

Unkle.ca 2010 Race - Filmed by Colabo, Edit by A.ChapmanENDLESS POTENTIAL, period. Thanks to the endless efforts of Lee Cation from Unkle.ca, this race is getting bigger and better every year. Mr. Cation spends hours a day planning, organizing and orchestrating what is in our opinion slated to be the best event in Canada. It's a no brainer to sign up for this race, especially if you're attending Coast Longboarding's Annual Danger Bay 9. With this many skaters in town at once, the race will be fun and the competition will be fierce. Looks like History is repeating itself once again. Contact Unkle.ca immediately as the team raises (see below) capital in pursuit of making the Gold Rush the best RACE IN HISTORY. "The Gold Rush Race Course is by the far the best course in the world. This matched up with the insanely beautiful landscape leaves both racers and spectators in awe for weeks", says filmer Dan Pape. "I can hardly wait for Lee's 2010 race!" HISTORIC TIP: The event is held on the outskirts of a BC Historic Landmark in Britannia Beach, BC. A copper discovery on Britannia Mountain by Dr. A. A. Forbes in 1888 led to the development of the Britannia Mine. In 1899, a mining engineer named George Robinson was able to convince financial backers that the property had great potential. For several years, companies were formed, merged and dissolved in efforts to raise capital. The Britannia Mining and Smelting Company, a branch of the Howe Sound Company, finally commenced mining in the early 1900s, and owned the site for the next sixty years. The first ore was shipped to the Crofton Smelter on Vancouver Island in 1904, and the mine achieved full production in 1905. MORE INFO AT UNKLE.ca - Contact
